Help JHS Preserve California’s Gold-Mining History

The nonprofit Johnsville Historical Society (JHS) is managed by an all-volunteer board of directors. The preservation of its fragile and extensive Gold Rush-era collection and maintenance of the Johnsville church/museum and surrounding trees are entirely funded by donations, grants, and JHS membership fees.

To become a member and receive JHS newsletters, please fill out the membership form and return it to us.

All JHS donors who do not wish to be anonymous are listed on our website. Please specify how you would like to be listed on your check or an attached note.

Donations of any amount are welcome. Please send a check made out to JHS and how to list your name on our website to:

JHS is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation and all gifts and donations are 100 percent tax deductible.

Donations of Gold Rush-era photographs and relics also are welcome. Due to space limitations, donations will be curated by the board of directors.
